Frequently Asked Questions

Drips N Care has registered nurses (RNs) placing IVs and administering treatments for our clients.

At Drips N Care, we provide telehealth consultations with a supervising medical director before beginning any type of treatment.

You will have a consultation with a medical provider before any treatment is approved or assigned to you. Our medical director may decline to order any treatments if he feels that it is contraindicated. You will be informed of all decisions, as you are an integral part of your health and wellness journey.

At Drips N Care, your safety is our top priority. Our nurses hold advanced certifications (including CPR, BLS, and ACLS). In the rare event of an adverse reaction to an infusion or injection, our team is trained to immediately intervene, stabilize you, and call 911.

While everyone’s sensitivity is different, most clients experience only a quick, minor pinch when the IV is placed. Once the needle is removed and the soft catheter is secured, the placement itself shouldn't hurt. You will simply feel a gentle cooling sensation as your IV fluids or supplements flow. If you feel any stinging—which can sometimes happen with specific vitamins—let our staff know immediately so we can adjust the drip rate for your comfort.

Because every individual's wellness needs are unique, our IV drips are fully customizable. Every treatment begins with a hydrating base of Normal Saline 0.9% (NS) or Lactated Ringer's (LR). From there, Drips N Care licensed medical professionals can tailor your drip with targeted add-ins, including B-complex vitamins, anti-nausea medications such as Zofran, and anti-inflammatory medications.

Common Drip Add-Ins & Benefits:

  • Hydration Base: Lactated Ringer's (LR) is used for rapid, electrolyte-balanced fluid replacement.
  • B-Complex: A blend of B vitamins to naturally boost your energy and support metabolism.
  • Zofran: A highly effective medication used to quickly relieve nausea and vomiting.
  • Anti-inflammatories: Medications like Toradol to reduce aches, pains, and headaches.

Most infusions take about \(30\) to \(60\) minutes. Before we begin, a registered nurse will check your vitals to ensure the treatment is tailored safely to you. During your session, feel free to relax, read, or catch up on your phone!

Because IV fluids and vitamins are delivered directly into your bloodstream, most clients feel noticeable relief from fatigue, hangovers, and migraines in just 15 to 45 minutes. Bypassing the digestive system allows for 100% absorption, bringing fast, targeted comfort right when they need it most. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Most mobile IV and vitamin injection services are self-pay, with insurance rarely reimbursing for preventative wellness drips.

Tipping is completely at your discretion, but it is never expected! Our team is dedicated to providing you with the best care possible, so just seeing you feel better is the biggest reward. If you do wish to leave a gratuity for the nurse, any amount is appreciated, but your comfort and recovery are our main priorities.

"Our arrival time depends on your location. We happily service areas within a one-hour radius of our home base. We can also travel further for a small service fee—just reach out with your location for an exact estimate!"

We provide mobile concierge services within 1 hour of our office to clients in Charlottesville, Fluvanna County (including Palmyra and Fork Union), and parts of Henrico.

I generally travel up to one hour from my home base at no additional cost. For locations outside this one-hour radius, an extra travel charge will be applied to cover time and logistics.

It means you receive professional healthcare in the comfort and privacy of your own space. I provide one-on-one wellness guidance and treatments without you needing to deal with traffic or waiting rooms.

We recommend having a comfortable, well-lit space ready for our session. Sessions typically last between 30 minutes to an hour , and we will call you to confirm your booking and requested services beforehand.

Yes! Concierge services are ideal for group wellness or corporate events. I am particularly interested in supporting local athletic events like marathons or mud runs.
